Kisses to my Kitchen!!

One of my favorite rooms in my house is my kitchen. My last apartment was HORRID. It is like night and day!
Here's a list of some of the things I love about my NEW kitchen!!! (and all the things I hated before!

-Beautiful clean stone floors vs. peeling lenolium -
-Brand new wood cubboards vs. peeling lead painted cubboards with unstable and uneven shelves-
-Clean beautiful white frigde vs. broken drawers ugly every thing froze yellow ice box-
-Built in microwave & more counter space vs. ghetto fan hood-
- Beautiful new counter tops vs. sticky ugly counters-
-Wider kitchen with walking space vs. one man kitchen-
-Painted walls vs. greasy un-cleanable walls with out peeling all the paint-
-Smells Good vs. Cigarette smoke travelling from neighbors-
-Lights over the sink and nicely covered flourecent light vs. broken covered nasty light cover-
- Dishwasher vs. none-


The moral of the story is I am super happy and I don't mind cleaning every second I am in there and I don't even mind the dishes any more. I never thought I could love being in the kitchen this much!! lol.

O- and we are super in love with our newest investment. It totally makes our place more homier. We went to go pick up a cheap-o gate to get JoJo out of the kitchen while we were working. This nice lady convienced us it would be a waste of time and money beause he would soon get his little feet in the wholes and climb right over. We settled on getting a metal walk though gate, it was a little more but its gonna last! Don't you love it!!

Gotta go cook some dinner. It's to the kitchen!!

Doubles... again.

Last time Jojo had ear infections I knew he was sick because he was coughing and snuffling and well, sick. This time it was a little different. He has been messing with his ears a little the past couple of days and I thought maybe he was getting an ear infection.
Yesterday morning Jojo woke up rubbing his eye and it was all red. It lasted all day. Last night was also a really hard night. He was having a hard time sleeping. His eye hurt him and he kept pulling at his ears. We just moved here and barely got our medical coverage started. I had to do some running around to get the numbers I needed but I finally got my baby to the clinic. By this time he was super happy and smiling. It is always embarrassing saying "My sons sick!!" and he's laughing and playing around with everyone.

I guess mom knows best! He has double ear infections which traveled into an eye infection. Poor baby!!! No worried though, he's still smiling except now he will actually be feeling better soon!
I LOVE HIM!!!

Day on the Lake.

Memorial Weekend was our first trip out on the lake here in Branson. It was very beautiful! There was a bit of over cast which turned into a horrible freezing cold, fast as lightening, hard as rocks rain storm. It pretty much crashed the party. However, before the rain came it was nice being out on the lake. Adam got me into the lake. I am terrified of merky waters.

When I lived in Florida I would cross a huge lake everyday on the school bus. I would look over and I would see tons of allegator bodies just floating on top. So, I associate lakes to alligators which is probably so far from the truth here in the Table Rock Lake. The last time I was out in a lake was at the filthy Utah lake. While waiting for the boat to start & hooked up to the wake board I had a mini panic attack. Trying to talk myself out of the scariness of where I was.

Anyways- Adam got me in to the lake and he put me in the middle of the tube. Then he was going to sit or lay on the side with me. While he was getting in he tipped me over! I got so freaked out, I feel like a horrible example of braveness to the little kiddies on board. After a few seconds it wasn't as bad I just still wanted to get out.I did how ever get back on to the tube as long at Adam came too. I layed this time and he hung on over the edge. Adam worked really hard to stay on and I am grateful he stuck around to protect me!

I'm excited to go back out this summer.. I'm really just looking forward to a sun tan!

Doesn't this melt your heart times a million!!! awe... I miss them!! This is why teaching is so fulfilling and I want to be in the classroom instead of at my mommy job! Darn I love them kids!!

OUCH!!

Ouch, Jo is biting! It is a horrible phase! Maybe he is doing it to get my attention or to tell me he is angry or playing. It is awful, I have to put him down and walk away. I read an advice that he doesn't understand that biting hurts. They do, however, understand crying. I'll tell you how it goes. In the mean time, what did you do to break the habit!
