Kisses to El Iguana

HOORAY!!!!

Adam and I love to eat at mini Mexican places. It's our thing to go and see what is being offered around town and compare. HOWEVER- all the places we've been here in Branson and even our disaster in Springfield was yuck yuck awful!! UNTIL TODAY!!!!!

While driving around last night I saw a little place that said California Mexican Food. I figured thats closer than this Missouri Yuck we've been offered. Today for lunch we slipped over to LA IGUANA and it was WONDERFUL!!!!! It has only been open for 3 months and it only offers burritos and tacos but the meat choice is out of this world and they have all the right toppings: cilantro, onions, lime, green sauce, white cheese, great looking peco, real guacamole!! The burritos were stuffed with pinto beans and rice. I had my mine with Carne Asada. I LOVE authentic Mexican or close too and this was so great for me! My fat FRESH burrito reminded me of a mixture of Beto's & Cafe Rio- it was just more traditional! (which I LOVE!) I can't wait to eat my corn tortilla tacos next time with Carnitas! YUM!! It was the best and is going to be my favorite place to eat in town!! Gotta love the whole in the walls!! Did I mention it was on the cheap side!!?? Another PLUS! Tell your friends, I know I will!

Kisses to my Kitchen!!

One of my favorite rooms in my house is my kitchen. My last apartment was HORRID. It is like night and day!
Here's a list of some of the things I love about my NEW kitchen!!! (and all the things I hated before!

-Beautiful clean stone floors vs. peeling lenolium -
-Brand new wood cubboards vs. peeling lead painted cubboards with unstable and uneven shelves-
-Clean beautiful white frigde vs. broken drawers ugly every thing froze yellow ice box-
-Built in microwave & more counter space vs. ghetto fan hood-
- Beautiful new counter tops vs. sticky ugly counters-
-Wider kitchen with walking space vs. one man kitchen-
-Painted walls vs. greasy un-cleanable walls with out peeling all the paint-
-Smells Good vs. Cigarette smoke travelling from neighbors-
-Lights over the sink and nicely covered flourecent light vs. broken covered nasty light cover-
- Dishwasher vs. none-

The moral of the story is I am super happy and I don't mind cleaning every second I am in there and I don't even mind the dishes any more. I never thought I could love being in the kitchen this much!! lol.

O- and we are super in love with our newest investment. It totally makes our place more homier. We went to go pick up a cheap-o gate to get JoJo out of the kitchen while we were working. This nice lady convienced us it would be a waste of time and money beause he would soon get his little feet in the wholes and climb right over. We settled on getting a metal walk though gate, it was a little more but its gonna last! Don't you love it!!

Gotta go cook some dinner. It's to the kitchen!!

Kisses to "The Fun with Food Storage Network"

I have been a little blog crazy lately. I may not be posting the "best" things lately but I have been doing a lot of spying on strangers and I am so glad I have. I have found some really neat sites and I will share my finds with you later!

Right now!!! I love my newest find!

Food Storage has been on my mind since we left UT. It has been eating me up inside and I want to get started on something so important. I almost put the word "Prepared" in my Word of 2009, because I want to get going on being READY!

They have made it easy with 3 area of focus:

Plan it

Buy it

Eat it

I have suddenly become so excited for this site and I can't wait to learn more and feel excited and ready for food storage!!

I HAVE taken their challenge to get READY in a year with food storage!!

Good-BYE Gifts

Mrs. Larson is SO sweet! All the kids have been sneaking around trying to make me all these good-bye notes! I actually got mad at them during reading because they weren't reading. I didn't know what was going on. Then they got me a bag for hersey "hugs", she got the baby an outfit that says "stud muffin", a cute blankie with a whale on it, and some books! One of the books she got me was "Where I Serve a Mission, Where Will I Go?" It is THE cutest book ever! Mrs. Larson's son served in the same mission as Adam just a year later so we had a lot in common. In this book there is a page all about Santiago Chile! Adam read the book when I got home and it was so cute! I can't wait to read it to our baby!!

Kisses to The Class I Will NEVER Forget!

The fourth grader I taught, taught me a lot.  I hope I taught them a thing or two!
Today we were Michaelangelo and they made great water paintings from my favorite book "Hailstones and Halibut bones"! It was a great LAST day!! I will miss these kids!

Kisses to The Wherry Family

Tony (my ex-step dad) and Stephanie (his wife) must be out of their minds. One thing is for sure, they have a lot more open shelf space! This afternoon when I came home from school there was a HUGE box on my front step. When Stephanie said they were going to send me some little things I thought she was serious! However, upon opening the box I almost had a heart attack of all the things she sent. There was always something still in the box! Everything looks brand new & most of it is!

This is more than we ever expected from anyone. I love hand me downs!! Mostly because he will out grow everything so fast! I am so thankful for people who love me!. It is the very first thing we have recieved (which makes it extra exciting!) and it is nice to know if this baby comes early I will have something for him! A million and one thanks to Tony and Steph, you two seriously made my day!! I love you!!!
