Well, with our recent move to Puerto Rico (eventually we should start school) we have had to SLOW DOWN. That is just custom here anyways. We haven't done much school work, much crafting. At the current moment we don't have a home to call our own, a car, or a job. SO, things are tight.
I'm still crazy about my family. We've been praying much more and Puerto Rico will bring us closer to each other and to God. I hope it brings us closer and we can avoid contention. A gets to do SO much more here concerning the needs of our family. Its a good and a bad thing in some ways. One way, I get to learn patience, however I have to wait for him. UGH. Once we have our own place I hope to become that super mom I know I should be! I know I can be!
Remember: The two most important days of a womans life, the day she is born and the day she finds out why! Here I go, on my quest to find out, with TONS of kisses to help me through! <3

The we took the bubble gum bucket we had at home and played math. We had a sorting station and a pattern station. :)

National Freedom Day
(history)
Our history lesson today was super simple. I know on Juneteenth we can go more in detail. It was a little odd for me to talk about peoples skin colors because my boys don't care about that, and I just don't want it to be a lingering introduction and explanation. Our spiritual connection was understanding God loves EVERYONE, and God gave every person agency, and desires us to be free and learn to govern for ourselves!

Serpent Day
(science)
February 1st is Serpent Day. Which in 2013 is perfect to study a week before the Chinese New Year, because 2013 is the year of the Snake!
For serpent day we make simple spiral snakes from paper plates. TOO much fun a TOO easy for my crew. They enjoyed it. We basically learned that serpent is another word for snake. We quickly talked about some things snakes represent.
